Edit: visited again June 13-19
We had a great time again. We stayed in wildflower cabin. Bunk room beds are starting to show their age, fine for kids, hard for adult to sleep on. Great staff nice lake. We caught a lot of nice fish. They added a really nice lake side playground for kids
Edit: Visited again June 14-20 and strayed in cabin 10. We had a great time
Storage area was more organized so it was easier to clear wheelchair in lodge to the bathroom.
We tried BINGO and had a lot of fun. My mom is in a wheelchair and was able to get a facial which was a real treat for her. It's often difficult for her to access spa services because of wheelchair accessibility, but CWC made it happen.
My dad had a cardiac event during our trip and we needed an ambulance. It took about 10 minutes to arrive. There aren't many hospitals near by. He went lights and sirens to bemidji because they have best heart care in area. Bemidji hospital about 45-50 minutes by car and took 30 minutes lights and sirens. He got great care and is ok! I did text Kim after we called ambulance and she came to our cabin to offer help at 11pm at night! Above and beyond! Good idea to be aware of hospital access.

Visited Aug 17-23 and stayed in cabin #9. We had a wonderful time and were able to have family time that we haven’t been able to successfully have in other vacation spots. Feel thankful for such a good time together. Sharing some accessibility notes since I know accessibility needs vary so much from person to person.
Our group had one adult with limited mobility requiring use of a wheelchair for non flat terrain and long distances.
Cabin 9 lower level bedroom and bathroom accessible with ADA toilet and very good grab bars. Ramp to get in. Only challenge is the downstairs bathroom with jacuzzi so not shower accessible. Did bed bath style worked out ok. Furniture not the most stable for someone who has hard time getting up and down. Futon super low too. Would bring our own arm chair next time or see if resort has a loaner. None of this was a deal breaker for our group.
The lodge is a bit tricky bathroom access. The main step from gift area to laundy/bathroom is a big step for adult in wheelchair. You can go around through their back room to the bathroom and then it is a tiny step into bathroom. But no grab bars. The back room is a mess and our chair had a hard time clearing it. Long story short, you can get in lodge and use it but ideally have a bottom level cabin close to lodge so you can go back to your own bathroom if mobility challenge. To access deck you have to go back outside and steer around trees on deck.
Kids had a lot of fun fishing. They had a cute kids fishing contest which was simple and fun. Loved paddle boards, paddle boats, and Conoes out to grab without check out process.we borrowed an tv and checked out VHS, nostalgic and fun for kids oddly. Ideally bring own life jacket but they do have a ton of very used ones. They have sand toys ect so no need to bring so much stuff. Cute swing sets. Lodge activities were cute. Drum circle was different and fun. Some things got cancelled due to low participation.
Rooms were clean. Laundry rooms available 24/7 and didn’t seem heavily used. Staff were all nice and helpful. Kim seemed cued into accessibility needs, not all staff were completely up to speed, so if questions I would see if you can talk to Kim.
We enjoyed our stay. We are coming back next year. Quirky cute resort with biting fish
