Experience the Wild Side of the Pine River
400 Acres of Untamed Minnesota Beauty
The Pine River flows right through our property, and there’s nothing like riding into the water on a hot summer day to cool off. While you’re in the saddle, keep your eyes peeled for the wildlife that calls this ranch home. If you’re lucky, you might spot river otters playing in the water, or see deer, foxes, bald eagles, and even the occasional bobcat crossing the trail.

Please do not use your GPS to find us. It will lead you onto a minimum maintenance road where folks often get stuck in the mud. Give us a holler at 218-587-5807 for the best directions and to grab your reservation—we look forward to seeing you at the hitching post!
A Ride for Every Spirit
From Nervous Beginners to Experienced Hands
If you’re a little scared of big horses, take comfort in knowing our herd works with children of all abilities every single day. They are gentle, steady, and checked over every morning to ensure your safety. But for you experienced riders, don’t think we’re just a slow-walking stable—we have horses that aren’t afraid to show ya a little speed if you're ready for it.
Bring the Whole Posse
Planning a family reunion, a church youth group trip, or a Scout outing? We can handle the whole crowd with custom scavenger hunts, horseshoe crafts, and painting the horses. We even have a comfortable 20-person shuttle bus that can pick your party up and bring you straight to the stable so you don't have to worry about a thing.

Absolutely loved our horseback riding experience here! The 400acre land is so pretty and you get to experience some different terrain on the ride (through and along the river, in open land, through birch trees, through tall bushes). We got super lucky and got to see them let the horses out of the stable. They said they do this to “let them go be horses and roam the 400acres. I loved this! Just such beauty all around.

Absolutely amazing place to go. My boyfriend and I went on the 2 hour trail ride today and it was nothing short of amazing. Highly highly recommend to anyone - whether you're new to riding or experienced (this was our first time). :)

My friend and I had been wanting to ride horses together for a very long time and are SO GRATEFUL we chose Pine River Riding Stable! Even though we were complete beginners, our guide Jonathan was wonderful and helped ease our nerves! We will absolutely be back! Don’t forget to tip your guides, they deserve it!!!

My family and I had the absolute best time riding with our guide Rory. We had several kids and some adults that had never ridden before and the horses were so well behaved and the whole experience was amazing! I highly recommend Pine River Riding Stables and I can’t wait to return next summer!
